Commission of Palestinian Detainees and Ex- Detainees Affairs: Israeli occupation turned detention centers into cemeteries for the living

The Commission of Palestinian Detainees and Ex- Detainees Affair  explained that the Israeli occupation has escalated its attacks on prisoners in its detention centers since the beginning of its aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, turning them into cemeteries for the living.

The commission said in a statement on Tuesday  reported by Wafa Agency, that the occupation forces daily storm prison sections and assault prisoners with oppression, abuse, and severe beatings with electric batons,  poison gas bombs, bullets, and rubber bullets, in addition to psychological torture, adopting a policy of deliberate medical neglect, solitary confinement, and the prevention of visits.

The commission noted that the occupation forces intentionally injure and leaving  them bleeding without first aid or treatment.

The Commission pointed out that the violations, aggressive practices, and racist practices to which prisoners are exposed to are inconsistent with international humanitarian law, calling on the international community to intervene urgently to support  the prisoners, especially women, children, and the sick, and to release them immediately.
