The occupation government Increases distribution of  weapons to settlers to kill Palestinians

Occupied Al_Quds, (ST) – During the past two months, the Israeli occupation government intensified the distribution of weapons to settlers to record numbers, according to data published by the occupation’s Kan television channel.

The Zionist Channel said that within five weeks, settlers submitted about a quarter of a million applications to obtain weapons licenses, and this number equals the total number of such applications during the past twenty years. It referred that the occupation government grants an average of 1,700 licenses to carry weapons daily since the beginning of last November.

This increase came after the Minister in the occupation government, Itamar Ben Gvir called on the settlers to arm themselves, and took measures to facilitate their access to weapons, which prompted the head of the Arms Division in the ministry, Izrael Avisher to announce his resignation yesterday, against the backdrop of the actions of Ben Gvir’s office.

Last week, Avisher revealed that people without qualifications had been appointed to issue weapons licenses to settlers, to which Ben Gvir responded by saying that “as many people as possible should be armed,” and that he would continue to expand his policy in this context.

These data represents a new confirmation of the occupation’s tendencies to shed the blood of the Palestinians, whether through the aggression launched by its forces against the Gaza Strip and other areas of the West Bank, or by providing protection for terrorist settler gangs to escalate their crimes against the Palestinians.
