15  various medals for Syria on the first day, of the Jarih al-Watan (The Homeland Wounded) International Games competitions

The Syrian national team won fifteen different medals, (3 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze), on the first day of the third International Wounded Games. These games were held by the Wounded Homeland Project, in cooperation with the General Sports Federation, in the Tishreen and Al-Fayhaa Sports Cities in Damascus.

In the physical strength competitions: QusayKhalifa won a gold medal in the 65 kg category, Alaa Al-Yousef won a gold medal in the 72 kg category, Marwan Ali won a silver medal in the 72 kg category, BassemSabbagh won a bronze medal in the same weight category, Saleh Sabbagh won a silver medal in the 59 kg category, Hasan al-Adra’a won a bronze medal in the 59 kg category, Abdul IlahHammoud won a silver medal in the 65 kg category and  Majd Al-Yousef got a bronze of the same weight.

In the swimming competitions: Omar Abdullah won the gold medal in the 100-meter freestyle race, Walid Al-Khass won the silver medal in the same race, Muhammad Jifan won the silver medal in the 50-meter freestyle race and AmerSalloum won the bronze medal in the 50-meter breaststroke race.

In the shot put athletics: Khalil Mahmoud won a silver medal in the 4 kg, Wasim Qaddoura won a bronze in the 4 kg, while Azzam Al Ahmad won a bronze in the 7.60 kg shot put.

173  athletes from Russia, Iran, Indonesia, Iraq and Syria will compete in swimming, physical strength, athletics, badminton, table tennis and basketball.
