Minister of Industry: The government spares no effort to continue the process of production and to create a new industrial environment

The Minister of Industry, Dr. Abdul Qadir Joukhadar, confirmed on Saturday during a field visit to a number of companies and industrial facilities in Tartous that the government is sparing no effort to continue the production process and to support the economy, through securing all  requirements to create a new industrial environment that provides many job opportunities.

The Minister of Industry’s visit included the cement and building materials factory , the paper factory, the General Company for Al-Sin Water Bottling, the Shafiq factories for plastic and metal containers, and the Syrian Company for Olive Oil Refining aw well as other facilities.

In a statement to reporters, the minister pointed out that work will be done to overcome all the problems and difficulties facing the industrial sector in Tartous to enhance production and the national economy, indicating that the ministry is working on a new restructuring and coordination with the various ministries concerned in this regard.

The minster added increasing the process production of the General Cement Industry Company with the available capabilities contributes to securing cement and developing the facility’s work to become environmentally friendly.

During their meeting with the Minister of Industry at Tartous governorate headquarter, the industrialists there focused on the necessity of facilitating licensing conditions for the establishment of industrial facilities, so that they are proportional to the nature of the facilities and their needs.

The industrialists stressed the importance of establishing new industrial facilities and distinguishing them from craft facilities, and the necessity of establishing facilities for analyzing olive oil and a juice factory, providing raw materials and electrical power for pharmaceutical factories.

Tartous Governor Firas Al-Hamid said in a statement to reporters: “The visit is to inspect the production process of industrial facilities to increase their production capacity in a way that serves the availability of goods with the required quality and competitive prices”
