Slovak Communist Party announces full solidarity with the Palestinian people

The Slovak Communist Party has stressed its full solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle to continue to exist and to regain their rights to self determination, sovereignty and building an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital. The Slovak party also affirmed its rejection of the Israeli occupation and colonialist policies.

In a statement on Saturday, the party said “what is going on in Gaza Strip is nothing but part of a long conflict that has been continuous since 1948. The Palestinian territories are being exposed to occupation, invasion and wars which led to killing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and to the undermining of basic human rights, the confiscation of lands, and the practice of apartheid against the Palestinians.”

The party called on Slovakia to recognize the independent Palestinian State with Al-Quds as its capital, reiterating that without the establishment of the Palestinian state, peace won’t be attained in the Middle East region.
