Arnos meets with Syrian expatriate businessmen in the UAE and the Executive Director of the Arab Gulf Fund for Development

Prime Minister Hussein Arnos met with a group of Syrian expatriate businessmen in the United Arab Emirates, where they discussed many investment opportunities available in Syria and the facilities provided to investors and the exemptions granted to them in accordance with the investment law, which contributed to securing a suitable and attractive investment environment in various sectors.

The prime minister expressed the government’s welcome to the participation of expatriate national capitals in the reconstruction and construction process, and its keenness to provide all support and facilities to those wishing to invest in Syria, especially in cities and industrial areas, and to work in partnership with the public sector in many priority service and development projects, pointing to the decisions and legislations that have been adopted, and contribute to facilitating various aspects of work and investment and overcoming difficulties for investors.

Arnos pointed out the important role that the national private sector plays in economic and social development, enhancing production and securing more job opportunities, establishing Service, economic and development investment projects that contribute to increasing productivity and production, providing various goods and materials in the local market, stressing the importance of integration between the public and private sectors.

For their part, the businessmen expressed their desire to invest in Syria and establish more projects in the health, education and service sectors to serve the process of economic and social development, stressing that the decisions related to investment in Syria have created an atmosphere of satisfaction, and a strong motivation for carrying out investment projects, especially in the fields of agriculture, industry and alternative energy.

Arnos also met with Nasser Al-Qahtani, Executive Director of the Arab Gulf Fund for Development, and discussed areas of cooperation between the Syrian government and the fund to establish many projects, especially in the fields of Education, Youth, Health and Rural Development.

The prime minister welcomed the cooperation with the fund to establish service and development projects that contribute to improving the living situation of the target segments, especially in rural areas, noting the great attention paid by the government to micro, small and medium-sized projects.

In turn, Al-Qahtani drew attention to the importance of economic laws and decisions issued during the past period in Syria, which is an important factor and an attraction for various types of investments, stressing the desire of the Arab Gulf Fund for Development to establish many projects in the fields of Education, Health and small and medium enterprises.
