Occupation forces storm into Jenin and its camp

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – A number of Palestinians on Wednesday were injured and others were detained during the Israeli occupation forces’ storming into the city of Jenin and its camp in the West Bank, amid the destruction of infrastructure and the besieging of hospitals.

The Palestinian resistance factions confronted the occupation forces.

Wafa News Agency reported that a large number of occupation forces, accompanied by military bulldozers, stormed into Jenin and its camp this dawn and declared them a closed military zone.

The occupation forces raided a number of neighborhoods and deployed their snipers on the rooftops of buildings and fired bullets and poison gas bombs, which led to the injury of 6 Palestinians, including two children and dozens more. They also detained others, surrounded a number of homes, detained families and used them as human shields.

The occupation forces surrounded the city’s hospitals, obstructed the movement of ambulances, and prevented them from rescuing the injured.

The Director of Jenin Hospital Wissam Bakr said  that the occupation forces surrounded the hospital. They were positioned in front of the emergency entrance an the hospital’s courtyard and searched the ambulances and cars of medical teams and employees.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said: The occupation forces detained ambulance crews in front of Jenin Hospital, prevented them from transporting an injured person to the hospital, and detained him.

The Director of Ibn Sina Hospital Samer Attia stated that the occupation forces imposed a siege on the hospital, and prevented the wounded and sick from reaching it, while the Director of the Galilee Society for Community Care and Rehabilitation in Jenin Camp, Jamal Abu Al-Ezz, stated that the occupation forces raided the society’s headquarters and destroyed its contents.

The occupation forces also blew up a house in the Al-Damj neighborhood in the camp, and the occupation drones bombed two houses there. They bulldozed a number of streets and destroyed the infrastructure, including electricity, water, and sewage networks, in the Al-Damj and Al-Samran neighborhoods and various areas of the camp.

The Palestinian resistance confronted the occupation forces and announced that it targeted the occupation forces in all axes in Jenin and its camp with explosive devices and heavy gunfire.
