Al-Mikdad, Talal Naji discuss developments in the Palestinian arena

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Saturday received Talal Naji, Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine- General Command- (PFLP-GC), and the accompanying delegation. Talks dealt with developments in the Palestinian arena.

Al- Mikdad affirmed Syria’s principled and firm support for the Palestinian cause, noting the heroic struggle of the people and resistance men in Gaza who taught the Zionist enemy an unforgettable lesson. He stressed the need to stop the bloody Israeli aggression that brutally targeted Gaza’s children and women and destroyed its hospitals and civilian facilities.

He said that Syria completely rejects any attempt to displace the residents of Gaza and the Palestinians in general out of their cities and villages, saluting the struggle of the Palestinian people and their quest to obtain their inalienable rights, and calling on all Arab countries to continue to stand against the Israeli occupation and its escalating crimes against the Palestinian people.

Al-Mikdad condemned the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Israeli occupation against the residents in Gaza Strip over the past weeks, including the destruction of hospitals and schools and attacks on medical personnel, in complete disregard of all humanitarian values and principles of international law.

For his party, Naji reviewed the difficult circumstances that the Palestinian people are experiencing due to the Israeli aggression, thanking Syria and the resistance axis for their firm and principled support for the Palestinian cause.

The Palestinian people will continue with their struggle to foil the Israeli occupation’s policies which aim at liquidating the Palestinian cause, to, liberate their occupied lands and establish their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
