The temporary truce agreement in the Gaza Strip came into force at seven o’clockin the morning, occupied Palestine time, after 48 days of continuous Israeli aggression on the Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 15 thousand Palestinians, including 6150 children, more than 4 thousand women, in addition to more than 36 thousand injured.
The temporary truce agreement will last for four days, subject to an extension, including the release of a number of Palestinian children and detainees held by the Israeli occupation in exchange for Israeli prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance, and the introduction of relief and medical aid and fuel to the Gaza Strip.
In the last hours before the temporary truce came into effect, the Israeli occupation launched intensive raids on the northern, central and southern Gaza Strip, targeting schools housing displaced people, hospitals and homes, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded.
During the days of cease-fire, Palestinian ambulance and rescue crews will try to recover the bodies of martyrs from the rubble, where the number of missing people is estimated at about 7,000 people, including more than 4,700 children and women, which will reveal more atrocities committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip over 48 days.
