Sabbagh meets the Mauritanian Ambassador, stresses depth of fraternal relations between Syria and Mauritania
Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammouda Sabbagh has stressed the depth and strength of the historical, fraternal relations between Syria and Mauritania, affirming the need to exert more efforts as to boost bilateral parliamentary relations, intensify visits and exchange experiences, in a way that achieves the interests of the peoples of the two brotherly countries.
During his meeting on Thursday with the Mauritanin Ambassador in Damascus, Ahmadou Adi Muhammad Al-Razi, Sabbagh said that the development of bilateral relations between Syria and Mauritania in various fields has contributed to strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the People’s Assembly and the Mauritanian National Assembly.
The PA Speaker hailed Mauritania’s position in support of Syria in confrontation of the terrorist war that has been waged against it for more than 12 years, expressing his wishes to Ambassador Al-Razi good luck and success in his new missions, after the end of his duty as his country’s ambassador to Damascus.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Razi noted Syria’s great role in supporting its Arab brothers, hailing its pan-Arab stances and the steadfastness of its people in the face terrorism.
He indicated that developing bilateral relations, especially parliamentary relations, achieves the highest interest of the two brotherly peoples.
