With the participation of Syria, Forum on Combating Modern Practices of Neocolonialism held in Moscow
Moscow, (ST) – The third meeting of the international committee organizing the Forum on Combating Modern Practices of Neocolonialism was held in the Russian capital, Moscow, yesterday, with the participation of Syria. The forum was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.
The Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said in a statement that Medvedev stressed in his speech during the meeting the necessity of confronting new colonial practices in the political and economic fields, food security and other fields, and the West’s attempts to dominate and impose its rules on most peoples of the world.
The statement added: Representatives of the participating organizations expressed their full support and readiness for close cooperation in opposing the hegemonic policy pursued by the United States and its supporters, and in order to form a multipolar world order while preserving the sovereignty, independence and equality of all countries.
The statement clarified that the draft final statement of the forum was presented to the members of the organizing committee for consideration, and work on it will be completed in December of this year, during the founding meeting of the Forum for Supporters of Combating Modern Practices of Neocolonialism, entitled “For the Freedom of Nations,” scheduled to be held in the second half of February, 2024.
The meeting was attended by members of the leadership of leading political organizations from Syria, Algeria, Belarus, Brazil, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, China, Cuba, Laos, Lebanon, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Tajikistan and South Africa.
