The resistance said in a statement: Based on our responsibility towards our patient steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and in order to provide relief and heal the people’s wounds, we announce that we have reached a humanitarian truce (temporary ceasefire) for a period of four days.

It added: Under the agreement, there will be a ceasefire by both parties, a cessation of all military actions by the occupation army in all areas of Gaza Strip, and an intensification of the the entry of trucks for humanitarian, relief, medical and fuel aid into all areas of the Strip.

The truce also provides for the release of 50 Israeli women and children and who are under the age of 19, in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinian women and children from the occupation prisons who are under the age of 19.

It also provides for stopping air traffic [meaning drones and war jets] in the south for four days, and for stopping air traffic [meaning drones and war jets] in the North for 6 hours a day from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

During the truce period, the occupation is committed not to attack or arrest anyone in all areas of Gaza Strip and to ensure the freedom of movement of people (from north to south) along Salah El-Din Street.

The resistance indicated that while it announces a truce, it affirms that all of its factions will remain the protective shield and defender of the Palestinian people until the occupation and aggression are defeated.

The resistance added that it will remain loyal to the Palestinian people’s blood, sacrifices, patience, bond, and aspirations for liberation, freedom, restoration of rights, and the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
