Occupation forces perpetrate new war crimes in Gaza, says Vahidi

TEHRAN (ST) – Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said the ongoing atrocities of the Zionist regime against civilians in Gaza Strip are clear examples of war crimes.

Commenting on the recent attacks of the Zionist regime on Gaza Strip, the minister said Israeli crimes would only be “stopped through united, revolutionary and retaliatory actions of the Islamic World.”

Vahidi said the Zionists were “shamelessly slaughtering innocent people in Gaza, including women and children.”

The new wave of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has claimed at least 50 lives since November 14.

Gaza has been blockaded since 2007. The Zionist regime of Israel denies basic rights of about 1.7 million people in Gaza such as freedom of movement, jobs that pay proper wages, and adequate healthcare and education.

The situation has caused a decline in the standards of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.

The Iranian minister said “those who misled world public opinion from the ongoing Israeli atrocities by raising other issues such as the crisis in Syria, have indeed encouraged the Zionist leaders to continue their war crimes.”
