Syria calls on the Security Council to put an end to Israel’s aggressive policies

Syria has called on the Security Council to take urgent action to put an end to Israel’s aggressive and expansionist policies, which threaten to inflame the region and push it towards a comprehensive escalation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement, that the Israeli occupation forces carried out an air aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan targeting some areas in the vicinity of the city of Damascus, which led to material losses.

The ministry stressed that Syria confirms that the continuation of the Israeli occupation of the occupied Arab territories in Palestine, the Syrian Golan and southern Lebanon represents a serious threat to regional and international peace and security and that the crimes of aggression, war crimes and crimes against humanity, including the crime of genocide, which the authorities of the occupation entity continue to commit against the Palestinian people are only a result of the inability of the United Nations bodies, especially the Security Council, to adopt resolutions obliging (Israel) to stop the massacre committed in the Gaza Strip.

“Syria warns the Israeli occupation authorities against continuing their attacks on Syrian territory and affirms its absolute right to defend its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and its determination to fully restore the occupied Syrian Arab Golan until the Fourth of June 1967 borders by all means guaranteed by international law,” the Foreign Ministry added.
