US police arrest pro-Palestine demonstrators on San Francisco Bridge

The US police arrested anti-Israeli protesters who demonstrated yesterday on the Bay Bridge heading to San Francisco, demanding an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza and an end to the massacres against the people of the Strip.

Police arrested “dozens” of demonstrators, one of the groups involved in the action told Reuters. The demonstrators continued to chant “free, free Palestine” and “Palestine will be free” during their arrest.

The demonstrators called for a ceasefire in Gaza, holding up signs saying “Stop the Genocide” and ”No US Military Aid to Israel” as they blocked the main passenger road leading to the city.

According to Reuters, about 250 officers detained the protesters after the California Highway Patrol issued an order to disperse them. Authorities deployed tow trucks on the bridge to remove cars that protesters used to stop traffic.
