Hundreds of people in Switzerland organize a demonstration in protest against Macron’s visit and his position towards the Israeli aggression on Gaza

Hundreds of people organized a demonstration on the campus of the Swiss University of Lausanne today in protest against the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to the country, and his position towards the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.
Agence France-Presse reported that participants in the demonstration carried Palestinian flags, chanting, “Macron is complicit,” and raised banners reading, “Stop genocide in Gaza” and “Free Palestine,” before Macron delivered a speech about Europe to students in the campus amphitheater. The demonstrators tried to break through the security cordon imposed by the police to protect Macron, but they were confronted by barriers, while hot pepper spray was fired at them.

Macron is facing severe criticism because of his position in support of the Israeli entity in its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, as a group of French diplomats in the Middle East criticized his policy in the region, and his position in support of the Zionist entity in an internal memorandum expressing dissatisfaction among some employees of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the French capital Paris witnessed mass demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people. The French diplomats further denounced the fascist Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, hundreds demonstrated in front of the Polish Parliament, demanding the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador and the referral of the Israeli officials to the International Criminal Court.

The demonstrators denounced the Israeli aggression and the massacres Israel has committed against the Palestinian people, amid chants of “Free Palestine” and “Stop shooting on Gaza.”
