President Al-Assad, Iraqi President discuss Arab role in stopping the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people

Riyadh – President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday met with President Abdul Latif Rashid of Iraq at his residence place in Riyadh and discussed with him the Arab role that must be played to stop the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people.

“What encourages the Israeli entity to kill more Palestinians is the Western complicity that justifies all forms of crime and destruction in Gaza Strip. The United States and the West provide the support that helps the entity commits massacres, and they also provide political cover for these massacres that target women, children, and the elderly on a daily basis, and which amount to genocide,” President Al-Assad stressed.

He added that the Israeli entity’s usurpation of the Palestinian people’s right in their land and state and its occupation of Syrian and Lebanese territories are the main and permanent reason behind all problems in the region.

For his part, the Iraqi President affirmed the two side’s identical viewpoints on the genocide being committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian territories, reiterating the need to stop this war of genocide and to guarantee that the Palestinian people restore their rights.

The two presidents also reviewed the bilateral relations between Syria and Iraq and agreed to spare no effort as to enhance these relations in all fields to serve the interests of the brotherly peoples of the two countries.
