The Iranian Foreign Affairs Ministry affirmed that the allegations contained in the statement of the G7 foreign ministers regarding the Iranian nuclear industry are false, have no connection to the truth, and are strongly condemned by Iran.
The spokesman of the ministry Naser Kanani said in a statement to journalists today:” Tehran assured that there is no place for the nuclear weapons in its policies and its nuclear program is peaceful, and it has proven this repeatedly.”
The foreign ministers of the “Group of Seven” countries, consisting of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America, announced in a statement yesterday in Tokyo that Iran must not develop nuclear weapons, and must stop the continued development of its nuclear program.
Kanani pointed out that the Iranian foreign policy approach in the West Asia region has always been directed towards stability and security in this region, stressing that the military presence of countries from outside this region was one of the most important factors and elements in creating a state of insecurity and fueling instability there.
Kanani pointed out that the allegations directed against his country regarding the war in Ukraine, the missile program, drones, maritime security and waterways are baseless, worthless and they stem from political goals and motives.
