Egyptian politicians and writers file a lawsuit to cancel the “peace treaty” between Egypt and “Israel”

Cairo, (ST) – Egyptian politicians and writers filed a lawsuit before the Egyptian Administrative Court to cancel the “peace treaty” between Egypt and Israel.

The lawsuit affirmed that the Egyptian people have the right to determine their fate through maintaining or canceling these peace treaties, and here the situation should be evaluated and the opinion of the people must be heard through a referendum that gives them the choice between continuing to work with these two agreements or canceling them.

In turn, the Head of the National Accord Party and the representative of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, Muhammad Rifaat, said: This agreement has to do with the supreme interests of the state and the country’s national security, which are above any agreement and which were exposed to a danger that reflects the spirit of colonialist expansion and aggression in which the the Zionist entity is based.

He added that “the most dangerous issue is what we see today is the proposal of a project to establish a national homeland for the Palestinians on the land of Sinai.”

Rifaat said: The agreements included the right of the Palestinian people to establish a temporary state for themselves in the West Bank and Gaza, but the Zionist entity is bombing them, and deliberately killing children and women. “This entity bombed Egypt, killing and wounding its soldiers on the border, and this was repeated more than once, which definitely confirms that the war of October is not the last war, and the Zionist entity does not want it to be that way, but rather it is taking it as a step to achieve its dream”, he added.

The lawsuit was filed by 16 Egyptian politicians and writers, and 40 public figures have so far joined.
