Syria participates in the “Gifted Arabs” Initiative in Saudi Arabia

Damascus (ST) – For the first time, Syria participated in the “Gifted Arabs” Initiative for the year 2023, organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of 17 Arab countries.

The Distinction and Creativity Agency stated that 100 distinguished male and female youths from Syria are participating in the initiative, which will conduct tests remotely in both math and general sciences, as the trial test has been scheduled for the 18th of this month and the actual test for the 25th.

The Distinction and Creativity Agency indicated that the participating students were selected according to several criteria from the students of the national teams of the Syrian Science Olympiad, from the students of the first year of secondary school and the students accepted into the National Center for Excellence for the academic year 2023-2024. It also selected students who won medals in the final qualifiers for the Science Olympiad for Youth for the years 2021 and 2022.

It noted that the closing and coronation ceremony would be held in Riyadh.
