A pro-Palestine demonstration in Australia…police forces arrest a number of demonstrators

The Australian city of Melbourne witnessed a demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people to demand an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The Australian 9 channel reported that dozens of people gathered at the entrance to the Melbourne Horse Race Track, carrying Palestinian flags and banners demanding that the Israeli occupation be held accountable for its crimes and massacres in the Gaza Strip.

The channel indicated that the Australian police used tear gas and pulled the demonstrators by their arms and legs to clear the entrances leading to the horse races,  also arrested 4 of them on charges of obstructing them.

This current demonstration came less than a week after a similar protest at the residence of the Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Richard Marles in the city of Geelong, where police then arrested 5 people.

The demonstrators in Australia are calling on their government to end diplomatic, economic and military support for the Israeli occupation entity, and to condemn its massacres in the Gaza Strip.
