Jakarta confirms that the purpose of the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza is purely humanitarian

Jakarta, (ST) – The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday said: The purpose of the Indonesian hospital in Gaza is purely humanitarian with the aim of serving the Palestinians and their medical needs. The remarks came in response to the Israeli occupation’s false allegations that the hospital is being used to carry out attacks against it.

Reuters quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: The Indonesian hospital in Gaza is a facility built by the Indonesians for purely humanitarian purposes and to serve the medical needs of the Palestinians in Gaza. “The hospital is run by the Palestinian authorities with the help of a small number of Indonesian volunteers and is currently treating patients in numbers far exceeding its capacity,” the ministry added.

Sarbini Abdul Murad, the Head of the MERC volunteer organization that funded the Indonesian hospital, stated that the hospital ran out of fuel and collapsed. He indicated that the Zionist entity’s allegations against the hospital are a pretext so that they can attack it.

The Israeli occupation forces deliberately targeted hospitals in Gaza Strip, including Al-Shifa, Al-Quds and Indonesian hospital and ambulance convoys, which led to hundreds being killed and wounded, which represents a continuation of the war crimes and genocide committed by “Israel” in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and all humanitarian norms and international conventions.
