President Al-Assad :Enlightenment Eradicates Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad on Tuesday highly praised  the pioneer and successful experience of religious education female preaching in Syria.

“this experience is matchless neither in the Arab World nor in the Islamic nations.Actually,there is a solid interconnection between the female preachers and mothers  as regards shaping minds and enlightenment simply because enlightenment will definitely eradicate terrorism and the attempts  to destroy  the society  as Syria is currently exposed to, “underscored President Al-Assad.

This came during H.E President Al-Assad’s meeting  with a number of religious education female preachers in the mosques of Damascus and its countryside and religious education high schools and institutes.

“every individual has got a national role to play at this stage to rebuild what has been destroyed over the past years. Hence, the religious circle has a vital role in this regard through boosting  moral values which are the cornerstone of any successful and stable society.Moreover, the religious side has also a considerable role  in combating extremist and takfiri ideologies, spreading the right and moderate teachings of Islam and revitalizing the norm of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) that is based on moderation, “underlined President Al-Assad.

The female preachers, for their part, affirmed that they will spare no effort as regards building an integral Islamic identity where  allegiance to the religion and the homeland is a priority.

At the end of the meeting, they thanked President Al-Assad for the great attention he pays to religious education in Syria.

Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed ,the Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments),attended the meeting.
