Officials of the main UN agencies called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and for allowing humanitarian aid to enter there.
“In Gaza, an entire population is subjected to siege and attack, deprived of access to the necessary elements for survival. Residents are being bombed in their homes, shelters, hospitals, and places of worship, and this is unacceptable.” Officials of these agencies said in a joint statement on Sunday , according to Agence France-Presse
The statement added “We need an immediate ceasefire for humanitarian reasons. 30 days have passed, and this is enough, and must end now,” stressing the need to allow more food, water, medicine, and fuel to enter the Gaza Strip to help the population.
