Al-Maliki: The Israeli occupation practices genocide against the people of the Gaza Strip

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – Palestinian Prime Minister Riyad Al-Maliki affirmed that the Israeli occupation is practicing genocide and ethnic cleansing and committing crimes against humanity in Gaza Strip in flagrant violation of international law.

During his meeting with the Norwegian envoy to the Middle East peace process, Hilde Haraldstad on Sunday, Al-Maliki indicated that the occupation targets the schools that shelter those displaced from their destroyed homes as a result of the bombing, which resulted in the death and injury of thousands of Palestinians, most of them children and women.

The occupation also intended to deepen the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip by bombing hospitals, threatening to bomb others, targeting water tanks, electricity generators, solar panels, and fuel tanks, and completely cutting off electricity and communications, indicating that all of this indicates that Israel is waging an unprecedented destructive war of revenge.

He expressed his extreme astonishment from some countries that still giving Israel the green light in its brutal aggression on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, which has exceeded all laws and ethics of war.

Al-Maliki stressed that the priority at the present time is to stop the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, secure the entry of basic humanitarian needs, and provide water, electricity, medicine, and fuel necessary for hospitals to operate.

In the same context, Al-Maliki noted that the difficult field conditions in the West Bank, including occupied Al-Quds, are no less dangerous than what is happening in the Strip as a result of the escalation of violations by the occupation forces and settler militias against the Palestinians, their land, property and sanctities. All this results in the fall of martyrs and wounded in addition to the continuing settlement expansion.

Al-Maliki called on the countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to move forward with their recognition with the aim of reaching a just settlement and establishing the Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.
