Six bronze medals for Syria in the Uni-Fight World Championship

The Syrian martial arts team won six bronze medals in the World Uni-Fight Sports Championship, which concluded its competitions today in the Russian city of Novo-Sibirsk.

The first three bronze medals in the light style went to Ahmed Badr El-Din with a weight of 55 kg for the cub category, Ihab Taha with a weight of 45 kg for the junior category, and Muhammad Al-Masalikhi with a weight of more than 95 kg for the men’s category.

In the Classic competitions, the remaining medals were won by Taj Malas, weighing 45 kg for the cub category, Mahmoud BadrEl-Din, weighing 85 kg, for the men’s category, and Muhammad Al-Masalkhi, weighing over 95, for the men’s category.

The Vice President of the Martial Arts Federation, Ziyad Ibrahim, explained that the tournament witnessed strong competitions amid an enthusiastic atmosphere, and what our players achieved is an important achievement for Syrian sports in light of the wide participation of many developed countries in this game.

Our national team’s delegation consists of Ziad Ibrahim as head of the delegation, Muhammad Khair Badr El-Din as coach and referee, and players Mounir Ghosn, Muhammad Yassin al-Masalikhi, and Mahmoud BadrEl-Din, who resides in Russia, all of whom are in the men’s category.
