Iranian President: Silence and support for Zionist entity are evidence of the West’s double standards

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi stressed that the hateful silence and support of the Zionist entity with weapons and equipment by the United States and a number of European countries is evidence of the West’s double standards, its partnership, and its clear involvement in the crimes of the Zionists.

Raisi said in a phone call with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Jahr Storhe: The martyrdom of nearly 10,000 Palestinians in the recent aggression on Gaza was the result of the United States of America sending weapons and equipment on a large scale to the Zionist entity, which is considered a crime against humanity and genocide whose perpetrators  should be punished.

Raisi pointed out that at least 180 UN resolutions were issued against the Zionist entity, but these resolutions were ineffective in changing the behavior and actions of the entity.

Raisi asserted that Western countries resort to biased news and reports about certain groups in order  to accuse them of violating human rights without taking the slightest measure to deal with  behavior that violates human rights in their countries, calling on European countries that pay lip service to human rights to investigate human rights violations in Europe and America.

Raisi welcomed Norway’s position to stop the war and the killing of civilians in Gaza as soon as possible, stressing the need to make international efforts to lift the siege imposed on Gaza and send immediate relief to Gaza Strip.

In turn, the Prime Minister of Norway said: The world is living in a complex and difficult situation today, and his country is aware of the important and effective role of Iran in the region, appreciates its efforts to control and curb tensions, and wants to interact with Iran to find new ways to resolve the Palestinian issue. He stressed that Oslo emphasized the cessation of immediate acts of violence and ending conflicts.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian reiterated the necessity of stopping the Israeli aggression and massacres in Gaza Strip.

During a phone call last night with his Omani counterpart, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Abdullahian stressed the urgency of the immediate lifting of the siege imposed on Gaza Strip and sending humanitarian aid, including fuel, food, medicine, and medical equipment.

The two ministers also stressed their strict rejection of the policy of forced displacement of Gaza Strip’s residents, and described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as regrettable.

During a phone call with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, Abdullahian also discussed current developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Abdullahian considered that the continuation of war crimes committed by the Zionist entity, the mass killing of civilians, especially women and children, and the widespread American military support for the Zionist entity is the main reason for the worsening situation in the region, warning that the expansion of the scope of the war in the face of the Zionist aggression against Gaza is inevitable.

For his part, the Iraqi minister stressed the need for coherent and coordinated action by Islamic countries to support the Palestinian people, stop attacks, and avoid expanding the scope of the war.
