The World Health Organization condemned the Israeli occupation’s attack on 3 hospitals in the Gaza Strip yesterday, Al-Shifa Complex, Al-Quds Hospital, and the Indonesian Hospital, which led to dozens of martyrs.
The organization said in its account on X platform today that the attacks on healthcare facilities, including targeting hospitals and restricting the delivery of basic aid such as medical supplies, fuel and water, amount to violations of international humanitarian law.
The organization called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, stressing the urgent need to protect all health workers, patients, health transportation and health facilities.
In turn, the Secretary-General of the Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, condemned the Israeli attacks on health care facilities in Gaza, stressing that they are unacceptable.
Ghebreyesus said: “The basic medicine that all these patients and health workers need is to end this terrifying and heartbreaking situation in the Gaza Strip.”
