Ministry of Agriculture discuss launching integrated rural development programs in 22 villages nationwide
Damascus – Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Mohamed Hassan Qatna has stressed the importance of benefitting from all available resources and providing the needs of production and creating job opportunities for the local population in rural areas, pointing out that the Ministry is working to launch integrated community-based rural development programs in 22 villages nationwide, in addition to other projects that contribute to developing the agricultural sector and increasing production.
Qatana made the remarks during a technical meeting at the Ministry’s building.
Participants in the meeting stressed the importance of production cooperatives and the expansion of markets for selling rural products, especially in the coastal region, establishing an ideal market for selling these products in Tishreen Park in Damascus, noting the possibility of involving international organizations working in Syria to help implement these projects.
