Palestinian Foreign Ministry: The international community must bear its responsibilities towards the genocide to which the Palestinians are subjected
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community not to be satisfied with some timid positions that do not go beyond diagnosing the humanitarian catastrophe and mass murders committed by the occupation against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and to bear its legal and moral responsibilities towards the genocide to which the Palestinians are subjected.
In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry stressed the need for the international community to take the necessary measures imposed by international law, the United Nations Charter, and international humanitarian law to stop the occupation’s war and its attacks on the Palestinian people, and to provide the Palestinian people with international protection as a prelude to enabling them to exercise their right to self-determination.
The Foreign Ministry condemned the open war of occupation against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza Strip, which continues for the twenty-seventh day, with its daily consequences of expanding the scope of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and tightening the noose on the Palestinian presence in the Strip.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry indicated that the occupation is increasingly targeting hospitals, shelter centers and schools affiliated with UNRWA in Gaza Strip, which shelter hundreds of thousands of Palestinians forcibly displaced from their homes, and the Israeli occupation is continuing the cycle of destroying Palestinian homes and all buildings, especially in the northern Gaza Strip, which leads at every moment to an increase in the number of martyrs and the wounded including children and women.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry pointed out that the occupation forces and settlers are intensifying their attacks on the Palestinians in the West Bank, which leads daily to more martyrs and wounded, explaining that in the face of this bloody scene, all countries must review their relations with the occupation, exert real pressure on the Israeli entity to stop its war. The countries of the world should upgrade their positions in response to the demands of their people who took to the streets in all capitals to denounce the massacres being committed and to demand an immediate end to the war.
