“Europeans for Jerusalem” Foundation sheds light on Israeli escalated attacks on Al-Quds since the beginning of its aggression against Gaza

The Europeans for Jerusalem Foundation confirmed that the Israeli occupation has massively escalated its attacks on the occupied city of Al-Quds since the beginning of its aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, by carrying out very widespread raids and detention campaigns that led to the martyrdom of 15 Palestinians and the detention of 384 others, calling for an international action to stop the Israeli crimes.

Palestinian media quoted the Foundation as saying in its monthly report on the occupation’s violations in Al-Quds (Jerusalem): The occupation forces committed 1,515 violations, which represents almost double the usual monthly violations, stressing that incursions and raids come first with 36.9 percent of the total violations, followed by detentions with 25.3 percent.

The report indicated that the occupation forces expanded night raids into the homes of Al-Quds locals, destroying and sabotaging their contents and intimidating their residents, in addition to carrying out search campaigns on phones and computers in the streets and homes, and searching for anything related to the occupation’s war on Gaza Strip with the aim of detaining and torturing the Palestinians.

The report documented that since the beginning of its aggression against Gaza Strip, the occupation forces have established 79 fixed and mobile military checkpoints in the city, and implemented 559 raids into the towns and neighborhoods of Jerusalem amidst the firing of bullets and poison gas bombs, which led to the martyrdom of 15 Palestinians, including 5 children, and the wounding of 22 by bullets and dozens of cases of suffocation.

The report referred to the detention of 384 Palestinians, including 33 children and 23 women, the  imposition of  house arrest on 39 others and the demolition of 7 homes and 3 facilities in Al-Quds and forcing 7 families to demolish their own homes, which led to the displacement of 84 Palestinians.

The report indicated that more than 8,000 settlers stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque and carried out provocative tours there under the protection of the occupation forces, which imposed severe restrictions on Palestinians entering the mosque and closed it more than once before them.

The report pointed out that since the seventh of last month, settlers have carried out 35 attacks on Palestinians in Al-Quds, injuring many of them and the destroying property, warning of the danger of the occupation’s attempt to impose new conditions in Al-Aqsa Mosque. The report referred to the continuation of the Israeli occupation to increase the suffering of Al-Quds locals, in parallel with its persistence on the Judaization policies and the repeated attacks on Bab al-Rahma prayer hall, and attempts to close it.

The “Europeans for Jerusalem” Foundation called on the European Union countries and the international community to assume their responsibilities, and oblige the occupation to respect international law and UN resolutions, including the Fourth Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilians, and to stop the terrorism it practices against the people of Al-Quds, and enable them to perform their religious rituals in mosques and churches.
