Damascus – The Department of Arab Relations of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) organized a solidarity stand for the Arab, Islamic and foreign diplomatic corps in Syria in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and in condemnation of the crimes and massacres committed by the fascist Israeli occupation against women, children and the elderly.
The stand was held at the Department’s headquarters in Damascus.
Director of the Department Anwar Abdul Hadi condemned the support of the influential countries and forces for the Israeli entity through justifying its crimes and not acting to stop the massacre and genocide currently being committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza and to open permanent humanitarian corridors to deliver food and medical supplies as well as electric power and water.
Charge de Affair of the Egyptian Embassy Mahmoud Amr stressed his complete country’s rejection of all the attempts that aim at undermining the Palestinian cause and evacuating the population from Gaza, reiterating Egypt’s support for the Palestinian people.
For his part, the Charge de Affairs of the Jordanian Embassy Basel Kayed said that Jordan is coordinating with Arab countries and exerting massive efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and to deliver aid and daily life requirements, including water and electricity to citizens in Gaza.
He affirmed his country’s clear position in support for the Palestinian people to gain their legitimate rights to establish their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital on the line of June 4th, 2067.
The Algerian Ambassador Kamal Bouchama said that Algeria has always been a main supporter for the Palestinian people in words and deeds, urging all regional and international parties as well as the international community to stop the aggression on children, women and the elderly.
The Iranian Charge de Affairs Ali Reza Ayati called on the United States to stop supporting the Zionist entity and holding “Israeli” accountable for these crimes before the International Court of Justice.
The Tunisian Ambassador Mohammad Al-Madhabi affirmed the need to stop the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, urging unconditional delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza immediately.
Among the diplomats who attended the event were: the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Turki Al-Busaidi, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Emirati Embassy Abdul Hakim Al-Nuaimi, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Lebanese Embassy Talal Daher the Chargé d’Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy Tariq Abd Ali Muhammad, Advisor Ivan Al-Zibari from the Iraqi Embassy, Minister Plenipotentiary Hossam El-Aissami from the Venezuelan Embassy, and Advisor Muhammad Mukhtar from the Mauritanian Embassy, in addition to an advisor from the Russian Embassy and an advisor from the Cuban Embassy.
