Al-Miqdad, Lavrov discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza

DAMASCUS, Oct.31, (ST)- Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Faisal Al-Miqdad, discussed with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, the latest developments in the region, the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, and the necessity of boosting bilateral relations between Syria and Russia.

Al-Miqdad warned against the danger of Israel’s brutal escalation in Gaza and the crimes perpetrated against the Palestinian people, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

He showed appreciation for the distinguished stances adopted by the Russian Federation against the Israeli aggression on the unarmed Palestinian people.

Al-Miqdad renewed Syria’s support for the Russian military operation in Donbas.
For his part, Lavrov said his country categorically rejects the Israeli aggression on Syrian facilities and lands, calling for an end to the military acts in Gaza, and warning of the extension of conflict scope in the region.

At the end of the call, it was agreed to continue coordination and conduct international communications in order to immediately stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
