Marking the Prophet Mohammad’s Birthday, President Al-Assad Takes Part in a religious ceremony

DAMASCUS, (ST)-President Bashar Al-Assad on Sunday performed al-Isha prayer at al-Hamad mosque in Damascus .

This came during His Excellency’s participation in a religious celebration held to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammad Peace Be Upon Him(PBUH) .

Some verses of the Holy Quran were recited at the beginning of the celebration.

Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed ,the Endowments Minister, delivered a speech in which he zeroed in on the sublime meanings of the occasion.

” the Prophet’s biography is full of mercy, tolerance, human fraternity and calling for God through good discourses, “underscored al-Sayyed.

The minister further said that Prophet Mohammad has given the woman her rights, called for prevailing justice, equality and preventing bloodshed among mankind.

“Islam and Prophet Mohammad and Islam are innocent of all killers and those who blew themselves up against anyone who was in different of their opinion,” the Minister said.

Al-Sayyed underlined that those who forced people to leave their homes, killed, exploded, destroyed the infrastructure in the name of religion have reaped their bad acts as they are now fighting each other.

“undoubtedly, after experiencing their hostilities , cruelty, assassination of scholars and abducting innocents, the Syrians are distancing themselves away of them[terrorists],”affirmed al-Sayyed.

 “TheSyrian people ,diametrically, believe that President Al-Assad is a symbol of reconstruction .Moreover, it is only the Syrians who will determine their future even if the world nations would gather in Geneva, “asserted al-Sayyed.

He concluded by praying to God to keep Syria safe and preserve President Bashar Al–Assad to complete the road of reform.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Endowment.
