Sabbagh: The importance of mobilizing efforts to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Bassam Sabbagh, met with Ibrahim Azizi, Vice Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Shura Council, and the accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of concerted diplomatic and parliamentary efforts in enhancing coordination and cooperation between them in various fields.
Sabbagh stressed the importance of the role played by parliamentarians in Syria and Iran in supporting their countries’ issues on the regional and international arenas.
Sabbagh noted the importance of mobilizing all efforts to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of the military machine of the Israeli occupation.
For his part, Azizi offered condolences to the martyrs of the Military College, stressing his country’s support for Syria in combating terrorism.
He also discussed his tour, which included Iraq and Lebanon, regarding developments resulting from the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip.
He pointed out that the heroic Palestinian resistance proved through Operation Al-Aqsa Flood that the Zionist entity is a fragile entity and its heroism is limited to killing women and children in Gaza.
The meeting was attended by members of the Arab and Foreign Affairs, National Security, and Syrian-Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Committees in the People’s Assembly.
