Syrian martial arts team participates in world championship in unifight sport in Russia

The Syrian martial arts team is participating in the world championship in unifight sport for all age groups, hosted by Russia, starting today until the fifth of next month.

Our team’s delegation includes Ziad Ibrahim as head of the delegation, Mohamed Khair Badr El-Din as coach and referee, and the players Mounir Ghosn, Mohamed Yassin Al-Masalkhi, and Mahmoud Badr El-Din, who reside in Russia, all of whom are in the men’s category. Hussein Ahmed Ziyad participates in the youth category, Radwan Al-Alloush and Ihab Taha in the junior category, and Taj Muhammad Nour Malas and Ahmed Badr El-Din in the cubs category.

Vice President of the Martial Arts Federation, Ziad Ibrahim, said in a statement to SANA: “Our team prepared for the tournament through a training camp in Damascus, and reached an acceptable degree of preparedness. The Executive Office of the General Sports Federation provided all available capabilities to secure the needs of the team to achieve a remarkable achievement in this sport”.

Ibrahim highlighted the good level of our players, as they are expected to compete strongly for the first places, especially since our athletes realized many achievements in the tournaments of this game, as the player Adnan Abdul Qader Aloush took silver in the World Junior Championships that took place in Russia last June.
