Palestinians in the occupied territories of 1948 commemorate the 67th anniversary of the Kafr Qasim massacre

Today, the Palestinians in the village of Kafr Qasim in the territories occupied in 1948 commemorated the 67th anniversary of the massacre committed by the fascist Israeli occupation in the village with a massive demonstration.

The protesters called on the international community to halt the occupation’s continuing crimes against the Palestinian people and hold those responsible for them accountable.

Palestinian media reported that participants raised a banner saying, “Sixty-seven years and the wound of the massacre  still bleeds,” and raised black flags in mourning for the souls of the martyrs and pictures of the victims of the massacre, amid chants denouncing the crimes of the occupation.

It is noteworthy that on October 29, 1956, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire on Palestinians returning to their homes in the village of Kafr Qasim, which led to the death of 49 Palestinians and the injury of 31 others.

The Kafr Qasim massacre is only one of countless massacres committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians to eliminate their presence on their land and replace settlers with unlimited support from the United States and Western countries.

The ongoing Israeli occupation assault on the Gaza Strip has, to date, resulted in the death of more than 8,000 Palestinians and the wounding of 19,000, most of them women and children.
