100 young men and women display their artworks in exhibition in Shahba, Swaida

With the participation of more than 100 young men and women talented with plastic arts, an art exhibition was opened on Saturday at Leonardo da Vinci’s gallery in the city of Shahba, Suwaida.

The ten-day exhibition included about 400 artworks of young men and women, as they presented artworks that varied in different techniques of drawing and photography, such as oil and wood colours, lead and charcoal, and drawing on black backgrounds with a white pen. The artistic studies were diverse and rich in elements with multiple topics that combined silent nature and drawing people and other subjects.

The supervisor of the exhibition,  visual artist Imad Al-Naddaf, pointed out that the exhibition represents the result of the training of participating talents during the past period, including students applying for admission tests in the Faculties of Fine Arts and Architecture, stressing that collecting these works in an exhibition constitutes an incentive for them to continue.

Regarding his participation in the exhibition, Haidara Abu Hamra noted that he presented paintings using various techniques, including dry ink, pointing out that this is his third participation in collective exhibitions, which opens the way for him to make art experts well acquainted with his talent.

Mirna Al-Taweel presented four works in wood and lead colors, the topics of which focused on silent nature in an attempt at the beginning of her career to present something artistic that she liked.

Hala Nassif chose 7 works that focused on reality and themes of beauty, underlining the importance of participation so that the public knows her works.

Safaa Noman, one of the visitors to the exhibition, pointed out that the works presented attract attention due to their diversity and richness, and reflect the excellence of the participants, even though they are at the beginning of their artistic career.
