20 contracts and agreements signed at the conclusion of “Agro Syria” and “Veterinary and Poultry” exhibitions 

Activities of the Syrian International Exhibition for Agricultural Mechanization and Supplies (Agro Syria 2023) in its first session and (Veterinary and Poultry) in its fifth session were concluded Wednesday evening.

Head of the Veterinarians Union, Dr. Iyad Suwaidan, noted in a statement to SANA correspondent that the exhibition constitutes an important economic event that provides a space for the exchange of experiences and information between producing companies, both plant and animal, with breeders, veterinarians and workers in the poultry sector.

Dr. Suwaidan  pointed out that the exhibition included scientific seminars on bio-security and veterinary vaccines. Visitors to the exhibition, including veterinarians and breeders, were transported from several governorates to be briefed on the latest modern technologies in poultry farming and medicines, indicating that this sector did not stop production despite the conditions that Syria has passes through.

Among the visitors to the two exhibitions, Dr. Muhannad Al-Ani from Inbat Al-Khair Company for Agricultural and Animal Investment said: The exhibition is an opportunity to meet those interested in specialized exhibitions that include the latest technologies, products and important ideas for developing the agricultural sector, which is a very broad sector and needs various products to secure its needs. He pointed out that the exhibition opens horizons for more specialized and diverse exhibitions.

For his part, farmer Ziad Salam said that he came to the exhibition to be briefed on the types of trucks, their prices, and what is new in the world of agricultural machinery.

In turn, agricultural engineer Hossam Al-Din Al-Kilani pointed out that exhibitions are a pivot and a fundamental axis in the economy, and today’s exhibition is evidence and indicator of economic recovery and represents a great opportunity to get acquainted with supplies that are not available in the markets and to enhance cooperation between companies and farmers.

Veterinarian Maher Alloush from Deir Ezzor noted that he came with twenty veterinarians in order to learn about what is new in the world of poultry, medicines and agricultural equipment, in addition to what is related to nutrition and feed alternatives.

The Agro Syria exhibition witnessed a large turnout of visitors coming from various Syrian governorates and some neighboring countries. A number of official delegations, from Somalia, Egypt and Iran, visited the exhibition to get acquainted with  the activities of the exhibition and the specialization of the participating companies and the new technologies used in the field of agriculture and agricultural mechanization, according to the Director General of Mashhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, the organizer of the exhibition, Khalaf Mashhadani.

Mashhadani said in a statement to a SANA correspondent that the exhibition witnessed scientific lectures on the agricultural sector, bilateral meetings, and the signing of about 20 contracts and agreements between participating companies and companies visiting the exhibition and with visitors, in addition to reneweing the participation of a number of companies in the exhibition in its next session in 2024.

It is noteworthy that the two exhibitions were held in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, the Federation of Syrian Agricultural Chambers, and the Syrian Veterinarians Union, with the participation of about 90 specialized local and foreign companies.
