Algeria and Tunisia condemn international community’s inaction towards the Israeli aggression on Gaza

On October 25th, the Algerian National People’s Assembly (Parliament) and the Tunisian People’s Assembly condemned the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, which amounts to war crimes.

The two parliaments stressed that the occupation shoulder responsibility for this escalation as a result of its crimes and policies aimed at displacing the Palestinians in light of the international disregard for Security Council resolutions related to the Palestinian issue and the rights of the Palestinian people.

The Algerian News Agency reported that the two parliaments called in a joint statement for the need to immediately halt the aggressive war against the Palestinian people, and to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.

The two parliaments stressed at the same time the legitimacy of the Palestinian struggle to resist the occupation and the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The two parliaments strongly denounced the positions of countries and bodies that support the Israeli war government and its double standards policy, especially with regard to the rights of civilians during the war.

The two parliaments called on all media outlets to remain neutral and objective in conveying the facts about the crimes the Palestinian people are exposed to at the hands of the Zionist occupation.

The two parliaments also expressed their rejection of the immunity granted by some bodies and states to the Zionist entity from all accountability or punishment, which gives it the green light to target the Palestinian people, women and children, and carry out its crimes against humanity.
