Foreign Ministry: New Israeli aggression proves that the “Israeli fascism” seeks to expand war on civilians

Damascus, (ST) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that the new Israeli aggression shows that the party that seeks to expand the scope of the ongoing war on innocent civilians is the “Israeli fascism.

“This fascism has no goal other than imposing what is called “Greater Israel” and eliminating any international effort to put an end to the Zionist occupation of the occupied Arab territories”, the ministry added.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement on Wednesday, “In implementation of its policies of expanding aggression and committing massacres in and outside Palestine, the Israeli occupation forces today launched a new aggression on Syrian territories, the fourth of its kind during the past ten days, targeting military points in Daraa countryside. The attack claimed the lives of 8 soldiers and injured 7 others. The Israeli enemy also today targeted Aleppo International Airport, putting it out of service”.

The ministry added: It has become clear that Israel’s thirst for more Palestinian and Syrian blood has not yet been quenched, despite its killing of thousands of Palestinians and innocent families, including at least 2,000 children.

The ministry also said that “Israel” has not been satisfied yet by destroying Palestinian homes, property and infrastructure in Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The Foreign Ministry indicated in its statement that the collective West’s repeated narrative, in which it claims (Israel’s) right to self-defense, is not based on a legal foundation. “It aims only to encourage (Israel) to carry out more killing against the Palestinians and forcibly displace them from their land,” it added.

The Foreign Ministry said: Syria has repeatedly warned Israel of the consequences of its continued attacks and holds it and its allies in the West collectively responsible for threatening regional and international security and peace. It stressed the need to hold perpetrators accountable and ensure that Israeli criminals do not escape punishment.
