Moscow: We will not support the American draft resolution as it does not include an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

New York (ST): Russia’s permanent representative to the Security Council, Vasily Nebenzia, warned of the indiscriminate attacks on civilians and people of the Gaza Strip during the ongoing Israeli aggression against them, demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

In a speech during the UN Security Council session on the escalating Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip, the Russian delegate warned of the consequences and repercussions of the continued aggression against Gaza, declaring that the Russian Federation will not support the American draft resolution in the Security Council regarding “Israel” and Gaza, because it does not include a call for a ceasefire and it has prepared an alternative for it.

Nebenzia said: “More than two million people from Gaza Strip are without water, food, medical care, fuel and electricity. The only crossing on the border with Egypt, Rafah, was once again subjected to a missile attack, and it was not opened for the exit of civilians and citizens.”
