Cairo (ST): The Council of Arab Transport Ministers condemned the Israeli aggression against the Damascus and Aleppo international airports and against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.

In a statement at the conclusion of its meeting on Tuesday, the Council affirmed its full solidarity with Syria in the face of the Israeli aggression that targeted Damascus and Aleppo airports and caused them to be temporarily out of service.

The Council also confirmed its condemnation of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, voicing support for the Palestinians’ steadfastness in the face of attempts to displace them from their land.

It decided to direct part of its programs to contribute to eliminating the repercussion of the aggression on Gaza and on the Palestinian transportation sector.

The Ministerial Council was held at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria with the participation of the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Ambassador Hussam El-Din Aala, Syria’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League.
