Erdogan trading again in the issue of Palestine and the suffering of its people

Damascus, (ST) – Many Turkish and international media outlets wondered why the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, retreated from his positions regarding what is happening in occupied Palestine, especially since he was accustomed to criticize “Israel” and claim concern for the lives of the Palestinians in a “loud voice.”

Turkish opposition sources read the transformations and changes in Erdogan’s positions and speeches, given his well-known history of trading in the issue of Palestine, the suffering of its people, with the pursuit of personal interests. They indicated that Erdogan today took off his mask of “patriotism and heroism”.

The shift discussed by political analysts and various media outlets has recently become clear in the tone of the Turkish regime and its symbols, including Erdogan, towards “Israel” and its crimes against the Palestinians, as the statements of the head of the Turkish regime regarding the Al-Aqsa flood operation came as if they were equating the Israeli occupation forces and the crimes they commit with the resistance that responds and confronts these crimes.

Regarding that, he is the best investor and the biggest trader in the Palestinian issue and other political and military crises, Erdogan’s clear shift in position and his regime’s cold reactions to the new “Israeli” crimes in Gaza, which differ from his previous responses, raise big questions about the price that Erdogan will get at the expense of children’s blood.

Erdogan, who used to trade in the Palestinian issue, said in 2016, “We must accept the fact that we need Israel.” In 2005, he visited the grave of the founder of the Zionist movement, Theodor Herzl, and placed a wreath on it. Turkey is also considered the second largest incubator for the occupation army’s weapons factories after the United States. “Israel” is one of the five most important markets for Turkish goods, and Erdogan, no matter how exaggerated his verbal display and no matter how much he tries to play on the strings of nationalism, patriotism and humanity, cannot hide the strong relations he has with the Israeli occupation entity.
