World Trade Organization official Hamid Mamdouh said Iran has many capacities to join the international organization, according to IRNA.

Talking to IRNA on Sunday, “Iran is a great country with a rich culture, powerful economic structures, rich natural resources and educated and well-trained workforce, making it a good candidate to join the WTO”, said Mamdouh .

Mamdouh, who is the Secretary of the organization’s Trade in Services, further stressed that the WTO has welcomed new memberships including that of Iran.

He hailed the efforts of the Iranian government to prepare the ground for negotiations as a very good and intelligent step and said Iran’s membership in WTO will guarantee that there will be no discrimination against its exports.
