A message of solidarity from the Syrian children to the Palestinian children in Gaza through free drawing event

Lattakia – Children in Lattakia province on Saturday took part in a cultural and social event that aimed at expressing solidarity with the Palestinian Children in Gaza in the face of the Israeli continued crimes against the Palestinians.

The event was organized by the Public Children Library Association in Lattakia in cooperation with the Arab League Education, Culture and Sciences Organization- the ALECSO Chair in Childhood Service

The activities included drawings depicting the map of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque over which the sky was decorated with the flags of Palestine and Syria, and children gathered in the mosque courtyards resisting the missiles of the usurping Zionist entity with stones.

According to Nisreen Hasan, an expert in the organization, the event is a solidarity stand that aims at deepening faith in the Palestinian cause in the hearts of children and the coming generations so that they cling to their land and rights in occupied Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan.

Hasan told a SANA reporter that we chose free drawing as it is the closest and simplest way in which children can express their feelings, particularly as the Syrian children have experienced war and aggression that threatened their future.

Fatima Shahrour, Executive Director of the Public Children’s Library Society, pointed out that free drawing with pastel colors on a large canvas and drawing with acrylic on pebbles allows children to express their feelings through drawings and colors. It also gives them the tool to send a message to the children of Palestine and convey to them their love and faith in the Palestinian cause.

“It is a message of love and a call for the peace that our children should enjoy,” she stressed.
