Syrian Science Olympiad kicks off competitions in basic sciences for the new season

With the participation of 8,000 male and female students from different Syrian governorates, the competitions of the Syrian Science Olympiad kicked off on Saturday for the year 2023-2024.

Tests of the first stage were conducted over one and a half hour simultaneously in different provinces. They included questions in basic sciences: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics and Biology. They aim at assessing the intellectual skills and logical thinking of the participants.

Participants in the first stage are students of the 10th grade from different governorates and who met the required scientific conditions. 93 excelled students in the Scientific Olympiad for the Junior and the Adolescents in Mathematics and Biology for the year 2023 are also participating in this Olympiad.
