Capitals – Several rallies have been organized in a number of countries to express support for the people in Gaza Strip and to condemn the continued Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people.
In Tunis, thousands of people took to the streets in Tunis to protest against the Israeli occupation’s massacres in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Tunis Afrique Presse reported that the demonstrators started their demonstration from the human rights square in Mohammad 5th Street to Bourguiba Street in front of the French Embassy. They chanted slogan calling for liberating Palestine, and accusing the France and America of being partners in the Israeli aggression and urging the Tunisian government to expel the Israeli ambassador.
The demonstration was called for by the national committee for supporting resistance in Palestine and it was led by the Tunisian General Unions of Labor.
Leaders of Tunisian organizations and political parties and associations took part in the demonstration.
In Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, thousands of demonstrators organized a stand of solidarity with the steadfast Palestinian people in the confrontation of the Israeli ongoing aggression. They called for allowing humanitarian aid to enter Gaza Strip and for providing protection to the residents in the Strip. They lift placards on which phrases like “Stop killing the Palestinians” and “stop the genocide in Gaza”
The Palestinian Ambassador in Uruguay said in a statement before the demonstrators that “every 15 minutes, a Palestinian child is killed by the Israeli bombs,” reiterating the need to stop this barbaric Israeli aggression.
Meanwhile in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian demonstrators called for stopping the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.
The demonstrators gathered opposite to the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur chanting slogans calling for stopping the Israeli crimes in Gaza and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
In Sydney, More than 15 people took part in a march in solidarity with the Palestinian people who are facing incessant Israeli attacks.
The participants, many of who were Australian citizens, carried the Palestinian flags and chanted slogans calling for freedom and peace and for stopping the genocide being committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people. They also called on the Australian authorities to condemn the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and support peace initiatives in the Middle East.
Representative of “Palestine Action Group”, which organized the march, “it is not acceptable that people around the world stay careless about the humanitarian crisis in Palestine and about Israel’s crime of depriving residents of Gaza from food, medical care, water and electricity”.
He reiterated that social organizations in Australia are united in protest against the war and in solidarity with the Palestinians.
