Adel Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, said in his speech today during the Palestine Committee meeting at the Parliament headquarters in Cairo: The occupation is waging a comprehensive war of genocide and committing mass massacres against the Palestinian people, pointing out that what happened at the Al-Mamadani “Baptist” Hospital in Gaza is genocide, a war crime, and a serious violation of international law and humanitarian principles.
Al-Asomi called for an end to the Israeli aggression and massacres that Gaza is being subjected to and for the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid to the Palestinian people. He said that “what is happening is dragging the region into a war zone, which is unacceptable, and we have warned against it many times”.
Al-Asomi referred to the need to address parliaments so as to stop the aggression, and said: “The time has come to take measures in order to stop the massacres and take the necessary measures to punish those responsible for them.
Al-Asomi added, “We will stand with all our strength and efforts with the Palestinians and their cause, as it is a humanitarian issue. The Arab position is clear and Palestine will remain steadfast,” calling at the same time on the Arab people to decisively boycott the products of the countries that support the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
