The suffering of the displaced in Gaza, no shelter, water, or food

UNRWA schools and shelter centers are targeted by Israeli aircraft.

Thousands of Palestinian families whose homes were bombed by the Israeli occupation in the ongoing aggression against Gaza Strip for the 13th day are now without shelter and have not found a place for them inside UNRWA shelter centers, including schools that have been converted into shelter centers and where more than a million displaced people have taken refuge since the start of the Israeli aggression.
The displaced Palestinians hoped the UNRWA centers and schools would shelter against the Israeli missiles that do not stop around the clock, causing more martyrs and wounded, but even these centers have become targets for occupation aircraft, and dozens have been martyred and injured.

Palestinian families stated that they could not find a place inside school buildings. That is why some Palestinian families set up plastic tents in the courtyard of UNRWA centers and schools in the hope that such locations would protect them from the cold hours of the night.  Some parents have been unable to provide a tent or blankets for their families who sleep in the open in the courtyard of whatever available shelter centers as there are no clothes, food, or water available in those centers.

The majority of displaced families have lost their homes which used to be located in the towns of the northern Gaza Strip. These homes were destroyed as a result of the occupation’s bombing.
So far, Governmental and human rights institutions documented, in a preliminary toll, the destruction of 4,821 residential buildings, including about 13,000 residential units, completely destroyed by the Israeli occupation since the beginning of the occupation’s aggression against Gaza Strip on the seventh of this month, October 2023, while 121,000 residential units were partially damaged, which caused the displacement of more than a million Palestinians, including 600,000 people in the central and northern Gaza Strip.
The displaced Palestinian lack basic life needs and suffer from catastrophic living conditions as a result of the UNRWA agency’s withdrawal and the cessation of its services in the northern Gaza areas.
